I'm pretty sure the guy sitting in the chair on the far right side of the photo is playing the ukulele on stage. It seems that you may blog what you hear, but not what you see.

Even Tiny Tim was a joke, he was always ironically famous, a freak persona he created to entertain Harvard kids, and even my favorite the IZ was a 770 pound mass, more building than human, with more heart than anyone I have ever met, but not quite enough heart to keep the fat flowing through his ever collapsing veins. The uke was not meant to be.

The thing you are forgetting here is where all of the Uke players actually were. They were rotting under the floor boards of my apartment. In a Fahrenheit 451 style raid of every hipster shitbag locale on the eastern seaboard, I have been finding every asshole with insufficient skill to play a real instrument and I will bury them gleefully after stabbing them through the heart with the jagged neck of their recently shattered uke. I will then dig up the remains of Tiny Tim and use his ribs to put out the eyes and puncture the eardrums of Mark Frauenfelder and all those blindly following "happy mutants" who think every lame girl with fake glasses, a uke and a webcam is the second coming of Jesus Christ himself, a man currently walking the earth under his original biblical name, Israel Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole.

You can't compare two bands that sound completely different and are of two different genres. How about doing a pre-Ringo era and post-Ringo era comparison of The Beatles? Or a pre-retirement Jay-Z vs. post-retirement Jay-Z?

All I can say is 'right on!'. Are you familiar with the work of Tiny Tim? I guess besides the Tuneyards he's about the only real ukelele player that I know of.
