This may be true, but she certainly carried some light FM stigma for a long time, and I believe she does in many circles. Check many reviews in major news sources of her new album.

But I did buy the album, and there are a few great tunes on it, the big change being more guitar rather than piano.

Ya know Steve, I think people are more accepting of Norah Jones than you had once thought. I've had her first album on my ipod for a while now, and when you throw it on shuffle and have other people in the car, she's going to pop up sooner or later. To my surprise, most people have sounded like they genuinely enjoy her music too; even those I would think don't listen to her type of music at all.

And you call some of her early stuff pop, and yes some of it is simple and got radio play, but blues as a genre is so far from pop that most of us people not in the know would never classify it that way.

I'll have to listen to some of this new stuff and see if I like the direction she is headed in.

I totally was not sold until I played the Letterman clip, that song sounded really great. I think I may just add it into the rotation at the radio station.
