They seem very comfortable with themselves, and they meet my criteria for favorite genre of music by being rock with electronic effects. The singer's voice does come across as being the type that might not sound as great live, and some of the things that enhance the music are post-production so I'm not as surprised that their live show wasn't as great. I don't even know what I would compare them to. Maybe Beck meets People in Planes? Maybe Minus the Bear meets the White Stripes? So I’m listening to this album on pitchfork.com right now and I enjoy it.
